Weapon Arts & Legendary Weapons

Not every sword in Vale Sangora is just a stat stick — rare-and-above weapons can carry their own signature move, and the best legendary picks are build decisions in their own right. Here's how Weapon Arts actually work and where the strongest gear tends to show up.

This guide reflects what's known shortly after launch (September 3, 2026), cross-checked across multiple independent community sources. Full weapon and legendary-item lists are still being compiled community-wide, so treat named examples here as confirmed highlights rather than a complete catalog.

Gear rarity tiers

TierWhat it means
CommonBase stats, no passive effects
RareStarts carrying passive buffs — this is also where Weapon Arts start showing up
EpicStronger passive buffs — think meaningful percentage boosts to stats like max health or Perfect Block window size
LegendaryThe strongest passives, sometimes buffing specific abilities directly or cutting their cooldowns — a real build choice, not just a bigger number

What a Weapon Art actually is

A Weapon Art is a signature combo move tied to a specific piece of gear — not every weapon has one, and which Art you get access to changes with whatever you currently have equipped. If a weapon has one, its description lists the input and its cooldown, which also shows up in the bottom-right corner of the screen during combat.

Attack & block regenerates Activation Charges Trigger the Weapon Art costs 1 Charge + Stamina starts its own cooldown Cooldown ticks down ready again, independent of Charges

Weapon Arts spend an Activation Charge and Stamina, then run their own cooldown on top

This shares its resource pool with the Active Abilities covered in our skill trees guide — perks like Sustained Focus (more charges) and Renewed Focus (faster charge regen) make Weapon Arts more spammable too, and Perfect Blocks (see our combat guide) accelerate charge regeneration on top of their usual payoff.

Where legendary weapons come from

Most legendaries sit outside normal story progression — you have to go looking. Reported sources include:

Legendary gear can also be forged and upgraded later by blacksmiths and armorers, so a strong early pickup doesn't fall off just because you outlevel the area you found it in.

Notable legendary picks

ItemHow to get it
DurandalOne of the more reliable early sword pickups — a solid default while you're still gearing up
Imbued Sword of St. MihaiA longer chain: find the Broken Sword during "A Monk and a Saint," then collect three Sword Shards during "Forge It Anew" before a Uriash blacksmith can forge it
The VrakhirTied to another extended questline rather than a simple pickup
Ring of Focus / Ring of Quick StrikesRecommended as easy, low-effort accessory upgrades alongside your main weapon

Practical takeaway: grab Durandal early if you cross paths with it — it's reliable and stays relevant since legendary gear can be upgraded later. Once you're choosing between legendary options, prioritize a Weapon Art that fits your build (a Swordmastery-heavy character gets more mileage from spammable Arts thanks to Sustained Focus and Renewed Focus) over raw stat differences.

Frequently asked questions

Does every weapon have a Weapon Art?
No — mainly rare-and-above gear, and even then not every eligible weapon has one. Check the item description.

What does a Weapon Art cost to use?
An Activation Charge plus Stamina, on top of its own cooldown shown in the bottom-right of the screen.

Is an early legendary like Durandal worth using long-term?
Yes — legendary weapons can be upgraded by blacksmiths and armorers, so they stay relevant well past where you found them.
